Wheat flour are made from wheat.
Malaysia does not grow or produce wheat (source here).
Malaysia imports wheat and wheat product 100% from other countries.
Malaysia imports 100% of wheat mostly from Australia, USA, Ukraine, Russia and Canada (source here).
The majority population of these countries are of different race/religion from the majority population of Malaysia.
So, if you are a majority race/religion of Malaysia and want to buy only from your own race/religion, please stop eating bread and other traditional kuih muih.
Oh, and please also stop eating roti canai.
Kicap are made from soybeans.
Malaysia does not grow or produce soybeans.
Malaysia imports soybean and soybean product 100% from other countries.
Malaysia imports 100% of soybeans mostly from Argentina and USA (source here).
The majority population of these countries are of different race/religion from the majority population of Malaysia.
So, if you are a majority race/religion of Malaysia and want to buy only from your own race/religion, please stop eating food that has kicap in it such as ayam/daging masak kicap, char kuey teow goreng, nasi goreng cooked with kicap, half boiled egg with kicap, goreng pisang cicah kicap pedas, soup dishes with kicap relish or other food with kicap relish (or alternatively eat them without the kicap relish).
And please stop eating tempe, taufu goreng and drinking "air soya cincau" too.
Malaysia also does not grow or produce corn (jagung) for chicken feed.
Yes, Malaysia grow corn, but only sweet corn for human consumption (source here).
Corn for industrial chicken feed are 100% imported from other countries.

Do you want me to tell you what the cattle (whose beef you are eating right now) eat?
Well, to be honest, I do not know.
I assume they eat grass.
I do not have time to google everything.
But, if you like to eat beriyani or nasi arab, which are made from basmathi rice, please be careful.
Malaysia does not grow basmathi rice.
About 50% of our basmathi are imported from India.
The other 50%?
Who knows from where...
However, if you still want to eat beriyani and nasi arab but do not want to be a hypocrite, you better do some research.
If the other 50% are from a country with the same race/religion as you, then you are saved.
You can still enjoy your beriyani and nasi arab with a clear conscience.
Just remember to ask from your retailer or supplier or restaurant certificate of import for proof!
(Also, are you sure those meehoon are made from local rice and not from beras Siam?)
Now, some of you will say I am stupid for not knowing the difference between PRIORITISING (MENGUTAMAKAN) and BOYCOTT.
Yes, prioritising implies practicality.
How wiser and cleverer you must feel.
And how convenient for you.
You can ignore fundamental theory of economics (supply & demand) and the reality of today's global trade & commerce, as long as you use correct vocabulary and grammar.
At the same time, you do not have to sacrifice the convenience of modern living made possible by people of other races/religions.
If there are no manufacturer or producer from your own race/religion, you would, of course, still buy from those other people.
Otherwise, you would have to go around without wearing your underwear.
Yes, I know, underwear is not a necessity.
If you do not wear them, nobody would know.
So, you can still be committed to your principle while your "bird" is "free" underneath.
Hence, practical wise, you can still buy and use these items without being accused of being hypocrites;-
...your handphones, your laptops, your TV's, and other modern necessities.
Also, surely, you cannot be expected to change your non-Proton car that you just bought last year before the campaign.
Anyway, Proton's new owner is no longer the same as your race/religion.
Maybe, you should sell your car and use public transportation.
Oh wait...! The buses and trains are imported also from those countries.
Maybe you should just walk around.
The hot sunny Malaysian sun is good for the skin, I hear.
#vitaminD
I am sure these dilemmas are depressing for you mentally while you eat your roti canai and drinking teh tarik with milk imported from New Zealand, most probably, in glasses manufactured from God knows where and made with bones of "that animal" or with silica sand that has been walked over by "that other animal".
Be careful!
Enjoy them while they are available and cheap.
Kemonn KAM...ape macam emotional Ni hahahaha
ReplyDelete-Hezrin-
Not emotional, just giving people additional info in order for them to make a more informed decision.
DeleteIf they are truly committed to the campaign, then, they should not, or cannot, eat bread, roti canai, or kicap or similarly made food.
Even if we talk about practicality, from now on, for their carbohydate need, they should just stick to local rice. They have to avoid bread, roti canai, mee kuning, roti jala, etc. They also have to avoid that delicious flavour derived from adding kicap to everything they cook and eat. Not to mention having to avoid tempe, tauhu, air soya, etc.
If they don't, then, they are hypocrites. They do not want to support the economy of their fellow non-Muslim countrymen, but it is OK to support the economy of non-Muslim foreign countries, including what they called the "Great Satan", USA (? (At least non-Muslim Malaysians pay taxes that goes to support their subsidies).
Those who support this campaign are doing what they think will make them a good Muslim. I am sure as a good Muslim, they do not want to be hypocrites. Then, they should heed what the Quran says,
"O you who believe, why do you say what you do not do? It is most despicable with God that you would say what you do not do."
(Quran 61:2-3)
God is referring to the hypocrites. God is saying that hypocrites are most despicable to Him.
You say one thing but you do another. Being inconsistent.
So, if you do not want to support non-Muslim Malaysian products, you certainly should not support non-Muslim, non-Malaysian products.
Hence, like I said in the article, please stop eating bread, kicap, and other delicious things derived from wheat and soybeans and other similar stuff.
Thank you.
